Anne nodded and began to make a list of what she might get him in her mind. "The museum sounds wonderful," she smiled. Anne had never been good with children, but she found that she loved seeing Junior smile.

Anne considered his question for a moment before answering. "I think a few surprises would be romantic, but I would like to know how I should dress for the day - wearing flats versus heels, you understand. So I would like to know most of the plans, if that's all right?"

Wyatt shook his head but there was a gleam in his eyes. "God no, I wouldn't do that to you, or me, for that matter. To have you wear wrong shoes would mean I have to piggyback you everywhere."

He moved his chair closer and reached out to lightly swipe his finger along Anne's chin. "Hmh... I can piggyback you, if a situation calls for it. As for keeping you completely clueless, that's not gonna work as I count on you to read the map when we drive out of Paris."

Anne's eyes lit and she gave a downright mischievous smile. "Indeed you would, but would that really be so bad, having my body pressed so tight against yours?" Anne dropped her voice a bit so as not to offend anyone, and to avoid being obnoxious.

She blushed when he made that little gesture. It froze her just a bit, just for a moment. "Yes, I can hardly be a proper navigator if I don't know where we're going, now can I?" She smiled up to him.

"Did I say it would be?" he grinned and lowered his voice to a whisper. "I have every intention of keeping you tight against me. Soon."

Glancing around the cafe, Wyatt leaned away from her. Nobody was paying any more attention to them than they were paying attention to those sitting in the next table.

Soon. In about three... maybe three and a half hours they'd be at their hotel room in Paris.

"I need all the navigational help you can give. I don't have much experience with right-hand traffic. Did you drive when you lived there?"

Anne chuckled softly at his tease and leaned up to give him a quick kiss. "I'll hold you to that, my dearest Poet."

For the moment, Anne didn't really care who saw. She should have had more caution, considering someone they knew could very well have been watching, for all she knew. But she didn't care, she was on her way to a romantic getaway with her beloved.

For a brief moment, all was right in the world.

"I drove a little - most places I frequented were in walking distance though, we'll see."

((ooc: We didn't mention them ordering drinks and food but I suppose they did anyway, considering they've been sitting there for a bit now.))

"We'll see," he grinned and kissed her right back. "Getting lost can be fun, too."

Wyatt finished his sandwich and cast a thoughtful look into his coffee cup.

"You know, I've only been to Paris for business purposes. I've never had anyone with me to do all the cheesy, romantic things that are associated with it. Eiffel Tower at night... Notre Dame... cobbled streets and secluded cafes that only you know about... I'm so blessed to have you," he smiled and rubbed Anne's arm.

"This is the first announcement to passengers travelling to Paris on flight..." Their getaway was definitely becoming a reality now.

Anne smiled at the thought of being lost in the streets of Paris, or anywhere in Europe for that matter, with Thomas. She nibbled an apple pastry as Thomas ate his sandwich, then glanced up as he spoke again. A light pink blush tinted her cheeks.

"I'm the one who's blessed..." she leaned into him a bit. "Everything seems so dull, before I met you. I look back on my memories, things I thought I enjoyed before I met you, and I realized that I would have much rather have shared those times with you. They would have been better with you."

Her life had been so black-and-white before. Thomas Wyatt had brought color and vibrance into her life. Really, he'd made her start actually living.

Anne glanced up when the announcement came over the PA system. Then she looked to Thomas, unable to fight the grin that flourished across her place. "That's us, right?"

"Don't say that. It can't have been too dull or you wouldn't have turned into a kind of person I love."

They both had their past. He suspected Anne must have experienced her first crush, her first kiss and her first heartbreak in Paris. Wyatt had never asked about her previous relationships and he never would. Not because he was jealous but because she deserved to have her memories to herself. And what mattered now was that she'd turned into someone he loved beyond the photograph on her father's desk.

"That's us. Ready?" Smiling, Wyatt stole a piece of her pastry that was still left. They were not in a hurry but they might as well get seated in the plane.

"Are we going to have a fight about the window seat?" he teased.

Anne had indeed had her own past of heartbreak and woe. But that all seemed so far behind her now. Places that she thought she'd never enjoy again suddenly had renewed hope. She could share in them with Thomas and make happy memories with him.

Anne smiled and stood up anxiously, only giving him a playfully scolding look when he ate her pastry piece. "Ready, love." She replied as she reached out for his hand.

"Oh, there will be no fighting, I'm getting the window seat," she laughed.

"Perfect. I wanted the aisle seat anyway. Easier for me to keep you from wandering off," Wyatt chuckled and laced their fingers together. "And to discourage shameless flight attendants from hitting on you. Can't have that."

Though it was a joke, he did feel pangs of jealousy from time to time.

The first people to get in were those with business class seats and those who travelled with little kids so that they'd have easier time settling down. Wyatt followed Anne as they were let into the cabin. When seated he couldn't help but kiss her again.

Anne rolled her eyes a bit at him. "As if I'd ever have a need to wander off without you."

Anne was just as guilty of jealousy as Thomas. She didn't like having to pretend not to notice the women at the office flirting with him, and it did happen. But she tried not to let it get too far under her skin.

Anne settled into her seat and smiled when he kissed her. She brought a hand up to push through his hair as she kissed him back. "I love you so much."

It would have been wrong to blame the women for flirting since Wyatt had flirted back before Anne came into his life. So naturally some of them still continued it for they didn't know he wasn't available anymore. Admittedly those situations were awkward for him as well now.

To make things even, in a way, Wyatt sometimes had to attend functions where Henry Tudor circled around Anne, trying to make an impression. Wyatt hated seeing that but all he could do was to hope she didn't fall for that man.

"And I love you," he reciprocated the sentiment. He lifted up the armrest that was between their seats so that they could lean against each other better. Then he digged up a pack of gum from his bag.

"Do you want?" he asked, offering some for her. "I find it helps my ears, or maybe it's just a habit, really."

((ooc: You can timejump straight to Paris if you want or I might do that in my next tag.))

Anne held no ill will against Thomas for the interactions he had with other women. She trusted him. And besides, she had to pretend to enjoy the advances of Henry Tudor when he was around. She had no interest in that wolf-like man, and she tried to make that clear to Thomas whenever possible to soothe his fears.

But for now, there was no Henry Tudor, no Thomas Boleyn nor any other women or suitors. It was just the two of them. Anne leaned into Thomas and took a stick of gum when offered and smiled her thanks.

Soon enough the Parisian skyline was visible. The moment Anne spied the Eiffel Tower, she tugged in Thomas's sleeve and pointed to the view. She couldn't contain her excitement. "Look, Thomas! We're here!" Anne grinned and stared out the window. It had been so long since she'd seen Paris.

Without Anne, Wyatt would have nodded off during the flight. He disliked travelling by plane as it was such a passive method of going from one place to another. Thankfully now he had good company with whom to pass the time.

Chewing his third piece of gum, Wyatt softly laughed at Anne's enthusiasm. "Yes, love, I can see it. You'll soon be in your element; chatting away in French, and showing me the city through your eyes."

Wyatt had made most travel plans so here was Anne's chance to take charge.

"Does it feel like coming home?" he asked her when the seats of the airplane had been replaced by the seats of the taxi, and they were heading for the hotel.

Anne was positively ecstatic as they touched down and the plane landed safely. They couldn't collect their luggage fast enough for her, she couldn't wait to get out and into the city.

As they say in the taxi, Anne couldn't help leaning in and giving Thomas a quick kiss. "It feels like reuniting with an old friend," she answered. "I'm so glad to be back, it's been far too long..."

Anne laced her fingers with Thomas's and took to looking out the window, entranced by the sight of the city.

Anne's reaction to Paris was far more than Wyatt could have anticipated. Her face had lit up and she was practically flying through the airport.

"We could make this an annual thing?" he suggested, squeezing her hand. "And you should come here more often anyway, if it makes you this happy."

Wyatt had spent a good deal of time searching for a hotel that would not be in the most touristy areas of Paris but would still have a central location. A soft bed and nice views over the city from a rooftop terrace had been his other requirements.

"By the look in your eyes, I'm guessing you want to head out to town as soon as we've dropped our suitcases to the hotel."

Anne smiled and she squeezed his hand in return. The idea of having an annual vacation like this with Thomas was enthralling to her. Anne nodded and kissed his cheek.

"I'd like that, very much," she whispered. "It could be Paris, it could be anywhere, so long as I'm with you."

Anne blushed at her childlike excitement. But she couldn't help it, and she was glad Thomas supported her glee. "Very much so, if you're up for it - I'd just like to change first. I can't wait to see the hotel you've picked out for us."

"Well. Paris is always easy for a weekend trip. Next year we can save our longer holiday to go somewhere more remote, like... the Caribbean." Though Anne was right, anywhere was good with her.

Wyatt looked down at the shirt and trousers he'd worn to the office all day. No way were they suitable for the restaurant they'd be going to later that night. "Ah yes, I need to change, too."

The taxi turned to a winding side street and headed uphill a bit before dropping them off in front of a white stone building. Wyatt was pleased with the first impression, at least.

They checked in and crammed themselves into an old elevator to go up to the top floor. Wyatt opened the door to their suite and let Anne walk in first.

((ooc: Hotel Particulier Montmartre shall be the inspiration. There doesn't seem to be a rooftop terrace, but it has the kind of charm that I'm thinking of.))

Anne's eyes lit and she leaned into him playfully. "Oooh, the Caribbean, I like it. Some place sunny and tropical - you just want to see me in a two-piece bikini," she teased.

She glanced out the window as the taxi slowed down to see if she recognized the area they were in. Vaguely she remembered the shopping district not too far away. A slow smile crept across her face and she looked to Thomas with wide, happy eyes. The ride in the tight elevator wasn't bad at all, Anne was only too happy to lean into him and nuzzle her cheek against his shoulder.

When the doors opened and Thomas unlocked their suite, Anne walked in slowly. She stopped after stepping a few paces into the room, her breath stolen from her chest. "Oh God..." she whispered. The furnishings were beautiful, but the view was what truly stole her heart. Outside she could see the small courtyard, with benches and small metal tables surrounded by trees abloom with pastel-colored blossoms.

Anne turned back to Thomas with pure awe in her eyes. "Thomas, this is...this is beyond wonderful...you arranged this?"

Wyatt had the feeling he didn't need to wait that long to see Anne in a bikini. Suitcases in his hands, he followed her into the tastefully decorated room. Double doors led to a balcony with a small table and chairs.

"It must have been me," he smiled. "This looks better than I hoped for. The website made it look good but this is definitely better."

Wyatt stepped in front of Anne and took her face gently between his hands. A kiss followed this gesture. "Mm, do you need help changing?" One of his hands moved to the zipper at the back of her dress.

Anne looked around the suite once more, taking in the view and the adorable balcony. Already she was picturing taking tea in the morning with Thomas beside her. Then she looked back to him and giddily trotted over to him and kissed him.

"It's perfect. Perfect because you arranged it; perfect because you're here," she whispered.

A slow shiver ran up her back as he brought his hand to the zipper of her dress. Her eyes flashed up to him with a gleam of mischief. Anne's own fingers slipped beneath his shirt and she leaned into him. "I could use some help, yes - thank you love."

Her fingers lightly brushed over his skin and abdomen as she leaned up for another kiss.

Wyatt inhaled; the muscles in his stomach tickled with pleasure at the feel of her touch. "I thought so."

He kept kissing her while slowly unzipping the dress. Then he moved to stand behind her and pushed the dress down. Wyatt's mouth had now found her bare back. With his hands settling low on Anne's body he pulled her rear tight against his hips.

"Can't wait to go out," he teased and let his fingers brush between her legs.

Anne moaned softly as he unzipped her dress, getting her of the fabric prison. Then as he moved behind her and pushed the dress down, Anne arched her back a bit, pressing her body into his even as he held her tight. She looked up over her shoulder to him and brought one hand up to drag her fingers along his jaw and through his hair.

"I'm rather tempted to stay in, at least for a bit," Anne whispered, turning towards him. "Until we get properly settled..."

Her fingers moved south, again dragging along his abdomen and down to the clasp and zipper of his pants. Anne moved delicately and slowly, undoing the button and zipper before slowly pushing his pants down as he had her dress.

Wyatt bit his bottom lip. "Oh, now you want to stay in? I can't imagine what brought that change," he chuckled and stepped out of the trousers down at his ankles.

"I've seen these before..." His fingers traced the lace of her panties. "But not this," he continued as he touched over her bra, for their quick lovemaking had happened while she had had the dress on.

"We should test the bed before we go out, don't you think? If we don't like it, we could ask for another one to be brought in while we're dining." He totally wasn't serious.

"The heart wants what the heart wants, especially in the city of love, mon cher," Anne whispered against his ear.

As he admired her bra, Anne arched her back to press her body into his and offer more of her chest to him. Her breasts weren't terribly big, but they weren't so small either. Still she felt the need to accentuate them in this instance.

As Thomas made his joke about the bed, Anne chucked and moved, stepping backwards towards the bed, facing Thomas as she walked. "Indeed we should, make sure it can handle us. Our passion." Anne teased.
